A MAN became racially abusive towards a nurse who examined him at Dunfermline police station.
Gerard Connelly was so drunk he fell over and injured himself in the street before being arrested.
Connelly, 50, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on April 23 at Dunfermline police station he acted in a racially aggravated manner towards a nurse, by making racially offensive remarks.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia said Connelly was taken to the police station after being arrested.
A nurse was called to look at injuries he had suffered earlier.
Connelly then began ranting racial abuse, which included calling the woman a “f****** n*****” and shouting “Get to f*** out of my country”.
Connelly, of Church Street in Cowdenbeath, made further comments about Muslims, black people and Pakistanis.
Defence solicitor Amy Allan said her client suffers from mental health difficulties, had consumed alcohol that day and cannot remember what happened at the police station.
