A FINALIST in hit reality TV show Love Island is set to 'crack on' into Dunfermline later this month.

Maura Higgins, who made it to the final of the ITV2 series, which aired on Monday, is heading to Lourenzos on Saturday August 31.

The Irish model, 28, will meet fans at the St Margaret Street venue after spending almost two months on the programme, which aired for a fifth series.

Filmed on the Spanish island of Majorca, male and female contestants, referred to as islanders, enter an isolated villa with the aim of "coupling up" with another to find romance, as well as the chance to win £50,000.

Higgins, together with Curtis Pritchard, made it to the final but, after a public vote, finished fourth, with Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea claiming the highest number to win a share of the prize money.

The show's finale attracted an average audience of 3.63 million, peaking at 4.05 million.

A post on Lourenzos Facebook page, which they described as a "Love Island exclusive", read: "Catch Maura in Lourenzos for some madness on Saturday 31st August and keep your eyes on the page for more Love Island announcements".
