West Fife is braced for yet more torrential rain tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rain tomorrow and thunderstorms on Saturday.
Flooding has already caused chaos around the area.
Residents in Rosyth had to be rescued by firefighters as a nearby burn on Park Road burst its banks.
A band of heavy rain which is stretching across most of the UK has the "potential to cause disruption" say forecasters.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
"There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
"Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads."
