A KELTY woman has won an award at a celebration for inspirational females in the worlds of business, sport, politics and industry.

Tracey Muirhead, who is CEO of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, picked up the Social Leader of the Year title at the third Scottish Women’s Awards 2019 held in Glasgow last Wednesday.

The Awards honoured the talent and hard work of female professionals and entrepreneurs across Scotland. They celebrated the achievements of women entrepreneurs, businesswomen, professionals, civil servants, charity workers and others that make Scotland a great and more equal place to live and work.

A delighted Tracey said: “It is an incredible honour to have been recognised for my work in the social enterprise sector as part of an international schools network, especially considering the incredibly talented women shortlisted for the category.

"Running a social enterprise isn’t just about the leader; having support from a dynamic board, a fabulous team supporting you achieve your business goals creating social impact and working with amazing partners is what makes this accolade so special for our School for Social Entrepreneurs family.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs helps 1,000 people a year develop the skills, strengths and networks they need to tackle society’s biggest problems. It runs courses that equip people to start, scale and strengthen organisations that make a positive difference.
