A DUNFERMLINE Indian takeaway were "screaming"' in celebration after winning at the Asian Restaurant Awards (Scotland) once again.

The Curry Pot was named the Best Takeaway in Central & Fife at an awards ceremony on Sunday night.

They've left the awards with a trophy for the past five years, and owner Abdus Sabur said this year's win was "wonderful".

"It was a very good night," he commented.

"It's a great achievement and we're going to keep working hard for our customers.

"They voted for us and I'd like to thank them for all of their support."

Held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh, the evening celebrated the very best of Bangladeshi, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Malaysian, and Nepalese cuisine, with 70 finalists shortlisted.

The Curry Pot was crowned the best in Central & Fife, much to the delight of Abdus, his family and staff.

He said: "We were humbled and our table was screaming when we won.

"We're going to bring new dishes to the menu soon and we're working with our chef, Rajendra Singh, on seeing what we can do.

"This award means a lot to us."
