A ROSYTH driver stopped by police did not have a licence but did have drugs.
The incident led to John McNab, 49, formerly of Queensferry Road, now living in Dundee, appearing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on February 2 last year, in Hillfield Road, Inverkeithing, he drove without holding a valid licence and without insurance.
He was also found to be in possession of diamorphine.
The court heard McNab had been stopped by a police patrol car at 7.50pm.
When taken into the police car for questioning, McNab discarded on the floor what turned out to be a wrap of diamorphine.
Checking the papers before him, Sheriff Charles MacNair said it looked like McNab had lost his licence for medical reasons.
He banned McNab from driving for 10 months and fined him £795.
