TWO car crashes in West Fife caused commuter chaos during rush hour.

Emergency services responded to a five-vehicle smash on the A92 at around 5.15pm on Tuesday.

Multiple cars were involved in the incident, which took place on the westbound carriageway at the Lochgelly junction.

One man was treated by paramedics and there were no other reports of casualties.

The A92 westbound had to close as a result and traffic was diverted via the slip road.

It remained closed until around 6.05pm.

Three cars were also involved in another collision on the M90 at the northbound junction two for Dunfermline.

No-one was injured in the incident, which happened at around 5.40pm.

The crash caused lengthy tailbacks.
