A 16-YEAR-OLD girl was punched during an incident in Dunfermline.

She was grabbed then struck repeatedly, causing her glasses to break.

The assailant, Jake Henderson, 18, of Kinloss Crescent, Cupar, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on two occasions between April 13 and June 8 at two separate addresses in Dunfermline, he engaged in a course of conduct which was abusive of the girl by shouting and swearing repeatedly at her.

He also admitted he punched her on the head, seized her by the body and punched her on the head repeatedly, causing her glasses to break.

The court heard that Henderson had been drinking alcohol at the time of the incidents.

Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a structured deferred sentence. Henderson will return to court for sentencing on December 18.
