WEST FIFERS are being urged to back a national appeal to help pay for seven new Guide Dogs.
The Guide Dogs charity is holding a month-long appeal during October and hopes to raise more than £400,000 for new guide dog partnerships.
Last week, volunteers from Guide Dogs West Fife teamed up with staff from the Nationwide Building Society in East Port to man the charity's stall in the Kingsgate Centre.
This Saturday, a coffee morning will be held in St Fillans Church Hall in Aberdour where visitors will get the chance to meet Guide Dog pups and support dogs.
Admission is £2 for adults and 50p for children and will include tea/coffee and cake. There will also be a a tombola and a raffle and a chance to buy Guide Dog merchandise and cake and candy.
