SPOOKY family fun was served up at Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries (DCL&G) on Saturday for ONFife’s latest Weekends With The Family (WWTF) event.

The day took the theme of celebrating Samhain – a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season and beginning of the darker half of the year – with some traditional Scottish Hallowe’en ghoulish fun and games.

As well as workshops and storytelling, a highlight of the event was a Ghost Walk around the building and into the graveyard where the talk turned to witches and body-snatchers!

“Our Weekends With The Families are designed to get families together to have fun and our Hallowe’en get-together was a big hit with everyone who came along,” said Sharron Brown, young people service development officer for ONFife Libraries.

The November WWTF, which will be the last of the year, will coincide with the end of Book Week Scotland when families will be welcome to come along to DCL&G and learn some digital skills with Dundee Science Centre.
