A 37-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court today (Thursday) following an alleged stabbing incident in Dunfermline High Street.
Police were called to a report of an assault near Wetherspoon’s bar at around 4.10pm yesterday.
A 53-year-old man was rushed to Victoria Hospital with serious injuries.
Michael Gardner, from Dunfermline, is accused of assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, endangering life and attempted murder.
Gardner made no plea when he appeared on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court this afternoon.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
