HAVING been part of the news for sad reasons earlier this year, pupils at Woodmill High School gained a different insight into journalism today (Thursday).
Senior pupils in Woodmill's DAS (Department of Additional Support) Unit, now based at Blairhall Primary School, are studying a National 3 unit on Media Studies this year.
Press Editor Simon Harris visited the eight pupils this morning to speak to them about how the Press is produced and news is gathered as well as giving the kids some reporting challenges.
Photographer Jim Payne took a photo of Simon and the pupils and, as our digital coverage of all the latest news is now such a big part of what we do, we've uploaded this immediately to show the kids that good news travels fast!
