Dunfermline Press:

Kinghorn business remains popular with Dunfermline residents for food, entertainment & functions

The Bay Hotel at Pettycur Bay, Kinghorn, is celebrating having achieved its VisitScotland four-star rating.

The Hotel is consistently popular with those from Dunfermline for dining out, weddings, and entertainment shows. They happily make the short journey along to Kinghorn to soak up the stunning views across the Forth, and beachfront vibe.

Currently gearing up for a very busy festive season, The Bay Hotel will serve nearly 250 people on Christmas Day in its newly refurbished Horizons Restaurant and Waterfront Bar, which is open to everyone, not just Hotel residents.

The stunning new look sees Horizons effortlessly cater for both informal and formal dining, to reflect customer’s changing eating out habits. Unique, modern booth seating with solid oak resin tables, has been fitted in the Waterfront Lounge area for a more rustic, informal, dining experience.

Elsewhere, a superb centrepiece is the T-shaped bar with “cracked ice” effect glass frontage. A glass partition now separates the bar from the main restaurant, with a glass wall running along the entire restaurant area, etched with eye catching designs of the three Forth Bridges, visible in the distance.

There’s also a dedicated Sports Bar and family area, situated up a short flight of steps leading from the Waterfront Bar, and ideal for children’s parties and private gatherings.

Horizons offers a varied range of menus with food served all day, including High Teas. Vegetarian and very low gluten options are also available. A three-course festive menu at £24.95 is available every day 1st to 24th December, with bookings now being taken for the Hogmanay Gala Dinner, £65 per person for four-course dinner, and entry to a spectacular Hogmanay Party in Images.

All bedrooms are fitted with state of the art intelligent, energy efficient lighting; air conditioning, Mini Fridge, and have wireless broadband internet access. Also included are 32” flat panel digital satellite TV’s with Movies on Demand. Many rooms have disabled friendly access and facilities.

“We are delighted to have achieved our four stars at The Bay Hotel, which has been subject to significant investment, most recently the new look given to Horizons,” said Director Tommy Wallace.

“We have a very loyal following amongst people from all over Fife, particularly Dunfermline, and we really appreciate their custom in coming for a High Tea, or a lunch or dinner in Horizons, or booking a wedding or party.”

“We look forward to welcoming them for any festive dining, or if they are attending one of our party nights, and would like to stay the night, we have a range of well-priced, en-suite rooms available, including suites for up to six people, and split level rooms with balconies.”
