A MAN has been arrested after one of two break-ins took place in Crossford in the past fortnight.
Police officers searched the village last Wednesday morning after reports of a housebreaking in Cairn Grove.
A 54-year-old was apprehended and charged after the incident which is believed to have taken place at around 11.35am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11.35am on Wednesday, November 20, police were called to a report of a housebreaking in Cairn Grove, Crossford.
"Officers attended and carried out a search of the local area resulting in a 54-year-old man being arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and enquiries are ongoing."
Enquiries are also ongoing after another break-in was carried out in the village just four days earlier.
A house in Pitfirrane Park was targeted on Sunday, November 17.
Police are encouraging anyone with any information to come forward.
A spokesperson commented: "Police enquiries are continuing following a break-in at a house in Pitfirrane Park, Crossford on Sunday, November 17.
"Anyone with information should contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 2880 of November 17."
