FAILING to turn up in court in Dunfermline has resulted in a six-month jail term for a 42-year-old man.
Thomas Maule, of Viewfield Gate, Ayr, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted he failed to appear there on September 26 having been bailed to do so.
Defence solicitor James Moncrieff said his client had been taking drugs at the time which caused him to forget his court date.
After looking at Maule’s record of previous convictions, Sheriff Alastair Brown jailed him for six months.
