BREACHING bail conditions and sending threatening messages to his wife ended with a court appearance for Rosyth man Rafal Kosowski this week.

Kosowski, 43, of Castlandhill Road, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

He had previously admitted that having been granted bail at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on December 12, he breached bail conditions banning him from approaching or contacting his wife or entering a house in Pittencrieff Street between December 23 and January 15 by repeatedly phoning her and sending her messages via social media.

He also behaved in a threatening or abusive manner when he sent text messages to his wife and uttered threats to disclose aspects of her private life to the media, her employers and others.

Solicitor Ian Beatson said his client had not realised the marriage was over and his wife had moved on.

"There have been no further incidents," he added.

Sheriff Kevin Veal placed Kosowski on a community payback order with supervision for 18 months.
