THE first photograph in this week's trip down West Fife's Memory Lane is from the Press archives and shows the demolition and clearing work being undertaken in the aftermath of the fire in 1976 that destroyed the Regal cinema on the High Street. The view is from the New Row, looking on to the site which was to become the Littlewoods store and is where Primark is now.
The second image is of Blacklaw Primary School, since demolished, situated on the edge of the Abbeyview housing estate.
More photographs like these can be seen in Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries, where 'Old Dunfermline' DVDs are on sale in the shop, and also on facebook.com/olddunfermline
