A DUNFERMLINE man who made threats against a police officer and his family has appeared in court.

In the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was Ross McLaughlin, 38, of Headwell Avenue.

He admitted that on June 3, at Bridge Street, Dunfermline, he acted in an aggressive manner, shouted, swore and made a threat of violence against a police sergeant and his family.

The court heard McLaughlin was already on a community payback order.

Sheriff James MacDonald called for reports and McLaughlin will be sentenced on January 8.
