A 35-YEAR-OLD man went on a shoplifting spree in Rosyth after being given early release from jail.
Thomas Stewart is now back behind bars at Perth prison.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, Stewart admitted that on July 1, at the Co-op, Castlandhill Road, Rosyth, he stole a quantity of meat.
He also admitted similar offences on June 3 at the same store and on June 12, at Tesco, Queensferry Road, Rosyth.
The court was told Stewart had been released early from jail on licence and started taking heroin again.
He has been returned to serve the rest of his sentence and his earliest date of release is now October 2021.
Sheriff James MacDonald said: βOn any view you have a bad record.β He jailed Stewart for six months for these latest offences.
