KIDS staying at the Victoria Hospital over the festive period have been given Christmas toys worth £450 from generous drivers.

The Kingdom of Fife Group of Advanced Motorists handed over 62 items to the children's ward in Kirkcaldy.

It's all thanks to the generous contributions of members.

Chairman Mark Ellis said: "This is the first Christmas toy run we have done.

"It was inspired by the success of our Easter egg run so we thought we'd give it a go.

"Members donated £450 and I went out and bought a whole range of toys for boys, girls, teens and young children.

"I had two big trolleys-full in the end."

The group has been going for more than 50 years and aims to promote safe driving.

"We are going to start doing this every year now," Mark added.

"Whether it be for the hospital or maybe another charity.

"It's great that members can help out other people.

"We hope this will assist all those children in hospital over Christmas."
