A PHYSICAL struggle in a Dunfermline pub ended with one man falling over and hitting his head.
The incident resulted in Gordon Mitchell standing trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Mitchell, 51, of Keltyhill Road, Kelty, was found guilty of a charge that on July 4, 2018, at PJ Molloys, Canmore Street, he assaulted the complainer by pushing him on the body.
The court heard that the complainer had hit his head off a table.
However, Sheriff Charles MacNair said it had not been established that the fall was the result of him being pushed or simply losing balance.
Mitchell told the court he reacted after having his jacket grabbed by the complainer and he then pushed him back twice.
Sheriff MacNair fined Mitchell £250.
