Major train disruption has been experienced by commuters are the Fife Circle line this evening (Tuesday) after an overhead electric wire fell down at Haymarket station.
Network Rail engineers were alerted to the incident at platform one sometime after 4pm and are currently working on the line.
Disruption is expected to last until 8.30pm as there is a limited amount of trains that run through the station.
ScotRail says that the delays to Edinburgh-bound services are making both trains and crews late for their next services.
