SCOTLAND'S top travel bloggers have named Dunfermline as one of the top 10 places in the country to visit in 2020.

The new guide aims to highlight areas often hidden in the shadows of the classic destinations of Edinburgh, Loch Lomond and Skye.

Gemma Armit, the travel blogger behind Two Scots Abroad, said: "We’re not saying don’t visit the capital and its castle, we’re just suggesting that there is so much more to see, feel, hear, taste and do in our 32 regional areas.

"VisitScotland’s recent tourism trends report focuses on sustainability and we are ecstatic that as travel content creators in Scotland we have the power to help promote the lesser-known destinations in our home country."

The guide contains 10 locations packed with tips on where to eat, where to stay and what to do in each area, identified by a team of professional travellers and Scotland advocates.

As well as Dunfermline, it includes Shetland, Aberdeen, The Moray Firth, East Lothian, Jura and the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere.
