AN INVERKEITHING man caught leaving a supermarket with a full trolley without paying claimed he had forgotten his bank card.
Anthony Morgan, 45, of Manse Road, admitted that on April 12, at Asda superstore, Halbeath Retail Park, he stole a quantity of food, alcohol and household goods.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf told Dunfermline Sheriff Court that the incident occurred at 12.30pm.
Morgan was stopped by security staff as he left and claimed he had forgotten his bank card. He then left the store, abandoning the trolley, which contained goods worth £160.55.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said his client was stopped and asked if he had a receipt.
Sheriff Alastair Brown called for reports and Morgan will be sentenced on January 15.
