A WOMAN was knocked to the ground by another female who then stamped on her head and punched her.
The incident took place at a homeless hostel in Dunfermline and was carried out by local woman Shannon Catterall.
Catterall, 24, of Izatt Avenue, admitted carrying out the assault via her solicitor, Alexander Flett, at Dunfermline Sheriff Court but was not present at the hearing.
She admitted that on October 7, at James Bank Hostel, she assaulted her victim by punching her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground, and thereafter punched her on the head repeatedly and stamped on her head, all to her injury.
The court heard the incident was captured on CCTV.
Sheriff Alastair Brown deferred sentence until January 15 for Catterall’s personal appearance at court.
