ALAN CARR'S return to stand-up for the first time in four years will see him perform right here in Dunfermline at the Alhambra.

Alan has chosen Dunfermline as his warm-up crowd with the Alhambra show kicking off of his full UK tour on September 5.

And, due to "phenomenal demand", the Alhambra announced today (Wednesday) that another date had been added.

Tickets are on sale now for both shows.

It means Carr will take to the Dunfermline stage on both Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 of September.

Not Again, Alan! will be his fourth solo tour, following the Tooth Fairy, Yap Yap Yap, and Spexy Beast.

The comedian, actor and TV personality made his name on The Friday Night Project with Justin Lee Collins.

He is also the host of the award-winning Channel 4 chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man.

Promoters said: "It’s been four years since Alan last went on tour, and in that time he’s managed to find himself in all sorts of dramas.

"Between his star-studded wedding day and becoming an accidental anarchist, from fearing for his life at border control to becoming a reluctant farmer, three words spring to mind … Not again, Alan!

"Tickets will sell out fast so don’t miss the chance to get up close and personal with one of the country’s funniest, most cherished and unique comedians at the very top of his game."

So far, 57 dates have been announced for the tour from September through to December.

Tickets went on sale this morning at 10am.
