A 33-YEAR-OLD man has tragically died after being struck by a car in Dunfermline.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by a Mercedes Benz A-Class yesterday (Wednesday) evening.
The white vehicle drove out of the lower St Margaret Street car park (2) onto St Margaret Street at around 9.50pm.
The car then collided with the pedestrian and stopped.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the fatal collision.
Sergeant Nicola Young, of the road policing unit, said: "We're appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.
"We're also specifically appealing to a person who spoke to the driver just after the incident happened."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3744 of February 19.
