EMERGENCY services raced to an address in Dunfermline this afternoon (Thursday) after the "sudden death" of a 46-year-old woman.
An ambulance and numerous police vehicles were in attendance near the City Hotel in Bridge Street at around 1.30pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At 1.30pm, officers attended an address in Bridge Street, Dunfermline, after the sudden death of a 46-year-old woman.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal."
