A CAIRNEYHILL man who sent threatening and abusive messages to his ex-partner after their relationship had broken down has been fined.
Craig Findlay, 47, of Pitdinnie Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
He had admitted previously that between January 10 and 12 this year, at Main Street, Newmills, and elsewhere, he engaged in a course of conduct which caused his ex-partner fear or alarm by contacting her by social media repeatedly, sending her emails repeatedly and sending her abusive derogatory and threatening messages repeatedly.
Solicitor Rosni Joshi said her client had "particular difficulties" at the end of the relationship.
"The offences were committed while Mr Findlay had consumed alcohol," she said. "He accepts full responsibility for the offence."
Sheriff James Macdonald fined Findlay £200.
