You don’t have to be a resident at Pettycur Bay to discover the world of dining, leisure and entertainment choices it has to offer! Local custom is very much valued at the fabulous holiday park, right here on your doorstep in Fife.

Pettycur Bay Leisure Centre and The Bay Hotel have recently unveiled Horizons Restaurant and Waterfront Bar’s fabulous new look. The family-run business, which offers all day food, a range of entertainment shows and leisure centre with swimming pool, soft play and arcade, has been welcoming holidaymakers and local customers for more than 30 years.

Dunfermline Press:

“We are open to everyone – you certainly don’t need to be staying on the holiday park or in The Bay Hotel to use any of our fantastic facilities,” said Tommy Wallace, who runs the business with his father Thomas and brother Alan. “You can come in for a meal – we have everything from bar snacks to high teas and evening dinners. Visitors are also welcome to try out some of our many activities with their children, including the gym, pool or even snooker. We welcome many party, wedding and function bookings from local customers all over Fife too.“

“The local market is a very important one. We simply could not have grown this business so well over the last 30 years without the continuing support of local customers from Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and the surrounding areas. Having achieved the significant milestone of a VisitScotland four-star rating last year, we are delighted that The Bay Hotel is now the only four-star hotel in the Kirkcaldy area.”

Tommy continued by saying that the newly refurbished Horizons was vying to be the restaurant of choice for family events like Mother’s Day and Easter. “We are very popular for high tea bookings, family lunches and so on,” he said. “We have a wide menu choice at value for money prices, together with one of the best selections of gluten free choices around. For the family market we can now offer a dedicated sports bar and family area in the Waterfront Lounge. Situated up a short flight of steps leading from the lounge, this cosy area features TV screens, where food can be served. It can also be used for children’s parties and private gatherings.”

Horizons and The Waterfront Lounge is the latest area of the business to benefit from a significant investment. At the centre of the restaurant is a stunning T-shaped bar with glass shelving to display signature drinks. A spectacular glass partition now separates the bar from the main restaurant, with a glass wall running along the entire restaurant area, etched with eye catching designs of the three Forth Bridges, visible in the distance.

The outside viewing terrace from Horizons can now be accessed through a new door, so that guests can pop outside on a nice summer’s evening to enjoy the expansive views across the Forth to Edinburgh.

Unique, modern booth seating with solid oak resin tables, has been fitted in the Waterfront Lounge area for a more rustic dining experience. This part of the room has brick tiled walls and trendy hanging metal lighting.

“Horizons is now elegant and contemporary, in-keeping with the standard of food served there every day,” added Tommy, “while The Waterfront Lounge perfectly meets the needs of family and casual dining. Additionally, please check out our schedule of entertainment shows which are on a par with entertainment provided at many of the UK’s top parks from leading chains. We truly have something for everyone here at Pettycur and it’s all available, right here on your doorstep!”
