RUNCORN girl Georgia Urmston is currently on cloud nine after taking home the title of Royal International Miss United Kingdom.
The 22-year-old who competed last Saturday in Manchester explained that she had even left it late to apply.
She said: "Farnan Bros Building and Co luckily sponsored me so I would like to express my gratitude to them as without them I wouldn't be here."
Georgia has been competing since she was 13 and has raised money for many charities including Cancer Research and the Christie Charity, but the one she holds close to her heart is is Mind Mental Health which she chose for this competition alongside Greenpeace.
So how long does it take to get ready for a competition?
"A long time. You have to do appearances and help out in the community beforehand," she added.
The former St Chad's High School student also works as a recruitment consultant and has just returned from professional dancing in Cyprus after five months.
Not content with just competing in pageants, Georgia has also organised one of her own.
"I held one at the Bridge View in 2017 which MTV filmed."
Georgia will now go on to compete in Orlando Florida in July for the international title against delegates from all over the States.
