A PERSON has been struck by a train between Lochgelly and Dunfermline Town this afternoon (Friday).
Paramedics are currently treating them after the incident.
The Fife Circle line has now re-opened after a brief closure.
Train services between Cowdenbeath and Edinburgh are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.
A ScotRail spokesperson: "Following a person being hit by a train earlier between Lochgelly and Dunfermline Town the line towards Edinburgh has now re-opened.
"The line is now open from Cowdenbeath to Edinburgh, however services remain subject to disruption.
"Disruption is expected to last until around 6.05pm today."
