A ROSYTH man who twice ignored a driving ban has been jailed.
Graeme Kennedy, 29, of Primrose Avenue, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He previously admitted that on October 18, in Brankholm Brae, Rosyth, he drove when disqualified and without insurance.
It was the second time Kennedy had been caught flouting the ban.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia told the court that police on mobile patrol saw the vehicle being driven by Kennedy at 6.20am.
Checks were carried out and as a result, Kennedy was stopped. It was discovered that he had been banned from driving until he sat the extended test but had not done this.
Defence solicitor Roshni Joshi admitted he had an “unenviable record” for road traffic offences.
“He was given the opportunity of employment and took it. He was on his way to pick up his boss when he was stopped,” she added.
Sheriff David Hall jailed Kennedy for nine months and banned him from driving for three years.
