Coronavirus: Cases in Fife now total 71,578

  • THE number of coronavirus cases in Fife has risen by 373 since yesterday's update.
  • The total number of cases is now 71,578.
  • The number of people with COVID-19 in Fife's hospitals has up by two to 91 while the number of people in ICU remains below five.
  • In Fife, a total of 298,946 people aged 12 and over have had their first COVID-19 vaccination, 91.5 per cent of the 12 and over population.
  • There have been 279,245 people who have had their second dose, which is 85.5 per cent of the 12 and overs in the region.
  • And 222,526 Fifers have had their third dose or booster, 68.1 per cent of the 12 and over population.
  • Across Scotland, there were 8,495 new positive cases reported today, with 29 new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.
  • A total of 4,401,876 people have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccination, 4,092,558 have received their second dose, and 3,223,113 have received a third dose or booster
