Coronavirus: Five new cases as Fife totals 876

    There has been five additional confirmed case of coronavirus in Fife today, taking the total to 876.
  • Yesterday, there was a steep rise from 836 to 871 but NHS Fife said this was down to a delay caused by a 'software issue' rather than a spike in the infection rate.
  • A total of 60 people were in hospital at midnight with confirmed or suspected cases - the same as yesterday's Scottish Government figures.
  • There were fewer than five people in intensive care at midnight.
  • Across Scotland, the number of people to have tested positive for the virus is now 15,4504.
  • A total of 2,386 patients who tested positive have died, an increase of 11 in 24 hours.
  • In all, 118,573 people in Scotland have been tested for the virus through NHS labs, with 103,069 testing negative.
