TWO men fell out after going to buy alcohol in a shop resulting in an assault.
Callum Webster, from Dunfermline, punched his drinking companion in the face.
Webster, 21, of Logie Place, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on August 29, at Omar’s Grocers, Alexandra Street, he assaulted the man by seizing his body and punching him to the face.
Depute fiscal Dev Kapadia said the men had been together on the day of the offence along with another person. They had decided to buy alcohol from a local store and then go to someone’s house to drink it.
When they went to the shop, Webster suddenly became aggressive towards his companion after “a discussion about the price of the alcohol”, added the depute.
Webster said: “What are you looking at and what did you call me?”
He then grabbed the complainer and punched him on the face.
The shopkeeper intervened and told them to leave the premises.
“They went outside and more angry words were exchanged,” said the depute.
Looking at Webster’s previous convictions, Sheriff Alastair Brown warned him: “You can’t afford to get into any further trouble.”
He called for reports and Webster will be sentenced on April 1.
