THE former Rosyth Ex-Servicemen's Club could be transformed into flats, a shop and an office.

New plans have been submitted for the first time since 2018.

Back then, Edinburgh-based company RH Hotels PVT Limited applied to the Fife Licensing Board for a major variation to the licence already in place at the former club to turn the premises into conference and theatre facilities, although no planning applications were submitted at the time.

Now, the applicant, Mohammed Saleem, of Edinburgh, wants to change the use of the vacant building into four flats, a retail unit and office space.

The plans also include external alterations with the formation of windows and installation of roof lights.

The large building, based by the roundabout between Admiralty and Queensferry Road, commonly referred to as the 'Wee Club' by locals, has been empty since November 2017.

The long-standing West Fife social club, which also came under the British Legion umbrella, ceased trading on November 25 after being placed in the hands of a liquidator.

It was then put up for sale in January 2018 for offers over £120,000 and was marketed as a development opportunity.

The public has until March 24 to comment on the plans.
