THERE will be overnight roadworks in West Fife on the slip roads for the M90 motorway.

They are scheduled to start on the evening of Thursday March 26 and finish on the morning of Wednesday April 1.

Operating company Amey said the work, which will all take place between 8pm and 6am, is necessary to carry out routine maintenance and signed diversions will be in place.

From 8pm on Thursday March 26, the northbound on-slip from the A823(M) at Pitreavie to M90 Junction 2 will be closed.

The following evening, Friday March 27, the southbound on-slip at M90 Junction 3 Halbeath will be closed.

There will be no more works on the weekend and the next closure begins on Monday March 30, when the southbound off-slip at M90 Junction 1C Admiralty will be closed.

The last overnight closure starts on Tuesday March 31 on the other side of the Forth, when the eastbound off-slip from M9 Junction 1A to the M90 northbound will be closed.

A statement from Amey said: “These works have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption, however motorists travelling during these times are advised to allow some extra time for their journey.”
