POLICE have urged members of the public to remain vigilant following a spate of thefts across the area.
South West Fife Police's Twitter feed have reported that garden sheds and vehicles have been targeted over the course of the last week, while thieves also made off with two mountain bikes in Inverkeithing.
In the first of three social media posts, they said: "As always, criminals will take advantage of any situation.
"We've had a few garden sheds broken into across the #WestFife area recently, so please remain vigilant."

That was followed by an appeal for information after two bikes - a blue Canyon Strive mountain bike, and an orange Bird Zero AM mountain bike - were taken from a shed in Inverkeithing between 11am on Monday, and 7am on Tuesday.

They then added: "Along with sheds, we've had several vehicles broken into across #WestFife as well.
"Please DO NOT leave items of value within your vehicle. This includes work tools/equipment. Remain vigilant please and visit our website for further advice."
