CRAVINGS for pies and bridies have led to Stephens Bakery setting up a home delivery service.

After taking the decision last week to shut their shops and stop their vans going to local businesses, the good news is they can now bring baked goods to your door.

The bad news is that demand was so high that delivery slots for this week are all booked up, hours after Stephens announced the initiative on Sunday.

The firm, which has headquarters in Rosyth, said: "We wish all our customers the best and thank you for continuing to be loyal over the last few weeks.

"We can’t wait to reopen our doors to you, when it is safe to do so.

"In the meantime, we have launched a home delivery service, to the following post code areas: KY1, KY2, KY3, KY4, KY5, KY6, KY7, KY11, KY12, KY13.

"Delivery slots are now full for week commencing March 30.

"We will re-open again in a few days for week commencing April 6."
