Neighbours in Rosyth surprised a schoolgirl with heartwarming birthday wishes after her party was cancelled.
Ten-year-old Sophia Donnelly was left teary-eyed when locals from Peasehill came out to sing her a rendition of happy birthday!
Sophia, who celebrated her 10th birthday on Tuesday, had to cancel her party due to COVID-19 restrictions and was left upset that she couldn't even visit her grandparents for her special day.
Her mum Marie said: "We were trying to think of something different to do because she was particularly excited about turning ten.
"We have a Facebook group for Peasehill so I created an event and asked if everyone could take their daily walk at 10am to have a wee sing-song!
"Sophia had no idea! I asked her to go outside to say thank you to my aunty who has dropped off her present.
"I think she was a bit embarrassed and overwhelmed by the whole thing!"
Sophia's best friend on the estate also made a birthday display for her on her front window in celebration.
"She told me she'll never forget this birthday!" Marie added.
"We have a lovely community here. All the children play out together so I think they're all missing that at the moment."
