THIS is the moment when eight-year-old Emily Hodge surprised her grandad on his birthday.
Social isolation meant that 77-year-old Mike Hudspeth, of The Wynd, Dalgety Bay, couldn't be with his family on his special day last Friday.
But they found a way round that with a surprise appearance at the back window, with Dalgety Bay Primary School pupil Emily singing 'Happy Birthday'!
"It was the best birthday present ever!" retired sales director Mike told the Press.
"I wasn't expecting it. It wasn't just Emily on her own, there were my two daughters and their husbands and they went round to the back garden.
"They stayed outside but they left a birthday cake for me to get after they'd gone.
"I would see Emily quite regularly; when she came out of school, my daughter would bring her round.
"But I've not seen her since the lockdown - until my birthday!"
