A FIRE broke out in Braefoot Woods, to the east of Dalgety Bay, on Thursday evening.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called just after 7.30pm by worried locals, with smoke visible from the town.
A spokesperson said they were alerted to a "fire in the open at Braefoot Woods" and added: "Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance where crews extinguished the flames.
“Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
