PEOPLE out for a walk in Blairadam, near Kelty, have contacted the police about bikers tearing through the forest.
"Safety concerns" have been raised and the force said they would step up patrols in the area as a result.
South West Fife police said: "We've been made aware that off-road bikes and quad bikes are being used in the area of Blairadam Woods and Clentry, which are causing safety concerns to others using the pathways.
"Again, we will be checking the area regularly.
"Please report any incidents by phoning 101."
