A man, 53, has been hospitalised after a road crash in the Maryhill area of Glasgow on Friday evening. 

A car collided with the 53-year-old cyclist in Lochburn Road around 7.50pm. 

The cyclist was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. 

It is understood his injuries are not serious. 

The driver, 35, has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called following a report of a road crash between a car and a cyclist on Lochburn Road, Glasgow, around 7.50pm on Friday, 6 June, 2020.

"A 53-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary although his injuries were not believed to be serious.

"A 35-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal."
