MAINTENANCE work costing £810,000 is set to begin on the Clackmannanshire Bridge is set to begin on Sunday.
The work, to be carried out by Amey, will take place between 8pm-6am each night until Friday July 17.
The scheme will see existing expansion joints on the bridge replaced, and include associated concrete repairs, waterproofing and resurfacing.
To facilitate the work, full overnight closures of the A876 at the Clackmannanshire Bridge are required, and a signed diversion will be in operation.
Northbound traffic will be diverted via the eastbound A985 Kincardine Bridge to Longannet Roundabout, and join the westbound A977 towards Kilbagie Roundabout, where the diversion will end.
Southbound traffic will be diverted via the eastbound A977 to the Longannet Roundabout, and join the westbound A985 Kincardine Bridge to Higgins Neuk Roundabout, where the diversion will end.
The road, which around 19,715 vehicles use each day, will re-open outwith the planned working times.
The scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, bus operating companies, road hauliers, Clackmannanshire, Fife, Stirling and Falkirk councils.
Work is weather dependent, and could be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable, and real-time journey information can be found at www.trafficscotland.org, or via Twitter art @TrafficScotland.
