DUNFERMLINE Foodbank has received £13,000 of nappies, toilet rolls and baby wipes from Amazon.

Staff at the fulfilment centre in Dunfermline have also gifted 3,300 cardboard boxes to enable the storage and distribution of food for families across West Fife.

Sandra Beveridge, manager at the Foodbank, said: "Amazon have always been very good to us with donations over the years.

"I'd like to thank them again for their recent efforts which will certainly help local family groups in the area that we support through the Foodbank.

"It has eased our minds a little and we're very grateful for their help as always."

The Amazon team also donated six Fire tablets and £2,500 to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and its Kinross Rachel House branch.

Jamie Strain, senior operations manager at Amazon in Dunfermline, said: “We are incredibly thankful for the work being done to support families across Dunfermline by both Rachel House and Dunfermline Foodbank, and wanted to recognise this hard work by offering these donations.

"A big thank you goes to both charities for continuing to offer their crucial services during the current time.”
