QUEUES stretched from High Street and snaked down New Row as some Dunfermline town centre stores re-opened this morning.
There was a large queue outside Primark shortly before 9am which stretched back to the top of the High Street and then down New Row.
Shops with on-street access and some workplaces such as factories are reopening following an easing of Scotland's lockdown.
Today's easing of the rules forms part of phase two of the Scottish government's "route map" out of lockdown.
Despite the change, the government has urged people to continue following guidance on social distancing, and Scotland's national clinical director Prof Jason Leitch said shoppers should wear face coverings inside shops.
Stores of all sizes can reopen - but only if they have outdoor entrances and exits.
Debenhams confirmed last week that they will also re-open to Dunfermline shoppers today (Monday).
