THE owner of a missing chameleon from Rosyth hasn't given up hope that he'll be found.

Igor transformed into an escape artist and left his back garden enclosure from his Findlay Street home on June 17.

Sharon Muir has had him for seven months and remains optimistic that the veiled/Yemen chameleon is still out there.

She told the Press that a young girl on Backmarch Road "saw a dragon" in her garden recently which prompted a search.

Sharon said: "She identified Igor when her mum showed her his picture.

"We all looked in gardens and surrounding area but no luck.

"I haven't lost hope yet."

Igor is green and blue in colouring but will turn grey and dark brown when he's "cold, angry or scared".

"He's arboreal but will also walk on the ground to get to higher ground whilst looking for food and shelter," Sharon added.

Anyone who spots Igor is encouraged to try to catch him and keep him warm as soon as possible as he needs 30 degrees heat for 12 hours a day.

Sharon said that he "hisses and will bite" but insisted that it's not painful and catching him should be "relatively easy".
