A KELTY man was more than three times over the drink-drive limit when he crashed into two parked cars in Dunfermline.

Joseph Doig, 29, of Oakfield Street, submitted guilty pleas at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on April 12, in Alexandra Street, near to the junction with Victoria Terrace, Dunfermline, he drove a car after consuming excess alcohol.

His reading was 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.

He also drove without due care and attention or consideration for other persons, failed to pay adequate attention and collided with two vehicles parked there, damaging both of them.

Sheriff Alastair Brown banned Doig from driving for three years and fined him £660.
